Why I Do What I Do

I’ve been asked on several occasions why I like to sell houses and I’m not quite sure what people think I’m going to say or supposed to say. For instance, I could say I do it for money, because obviously it’s my job and I need to get paid, however, I could do a lot of different things if that is what we’re boiling it down to.

I also could say I do it because I find it interesting, which is also true, I am a nerd and like reviewing things like market conditions and analyzing economical changes and general home value. What truly makes me choose to do this exhaustingly, wonderful, stressful, and insanely rewarding career is one thing, PEOPLE. I love people. Some days I feel like I hate people because people are complicated and this is a stressful experience selling or buying a house, but ultimately I find myself drawn to helping people and using my knowledge and experience to get them to their final destination, whether it be a new home here, or out of state, or downsizing or selling a 2nd home or buying a 2nd home, whatever the case may be, I love helping them get there. So there you have it folks, I’m in it for you.

I want to help you. I want to help your people. I am the human that gives it all she can and then some, because ultimately I’m not good at not caring. I can’t help myself. Here I am, to answer all your questions, look at all the rooms in your house, be there for the late night phone call when the lender screwed up the numbers (again), or the seller harshly negotiated and you are crying because you don’t know if it’s worth it, I am here. Because I care about my people.
